A Parents Guide to Apprenticeships

We understand parents have questions about apprenticeships and work based learning and so the National Apprenticeship Service - for which JACE Training is a proud Apprenticeship Information Ambassador (AIAN) - has produced a Parent's Guide to Apprenticeships Fact Sheet. To read or download the fact sheet, please click here

Raising the Participation Age (RPA)

What is RPA - and what does it mean? The Government is increasing the age that all young people in England must continue in education or training until the end of the academic year in which they turn 17 from 2013 and until their 18th birthday from 2015.

It is felt that this will give young people more opportunity to develop the skills they need for adult life and to achieve their full potential. RPA - Raising the Participation Age does not mean that young people must stay in school. Staying on at school is now an option along with going to college or to an independent Training Provider (i.e. JACE) where they could start an Apprenticeship.
