Childcare Training with JACE explained

JACE now has a progression route from unit's awards and certificates at Level 1 through to units awards, certificates Diplomas at Level 2, 3 or 4.

 

Level 1 - Award in Caring for Children

 

This qualification can be gained as individual units or a full qualification, which added together make either a certificate or award giving a full qualification.  It allows you to develop skills and knowledge required for working with children and gives you the foundation stone from which to progress to Level 2.

 

Level 2 - Certificate for the Children and Young People's Workforce

 

This certificate allows you entry into employment.  Individual units will allow for continuous professional development.  This qualification gives progression both within and between Levels as some option units within the Certificate are Level 3 credited.

 

Level 3 - Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce

 

This qualification serves as the required qualification in the childcare sector.  Individual units again allow for professional development and progression with some option units being accredited at Level 4.

 

Level 4 - Higher Professional Diploma in Early Years

 

This qualification meets the requirements for Certificate Level outcomes in higher education - it can be used as year 1 of a 2 year Foundation Degree (City & Guilds).
